Yesterday, the Lincoln Motor Company issued a press release announcing that both the Lincoln MKZ and the Lincoln MKX were selected to receive Top Safety Pick designations from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. When equipped with optional front crash prevention, the MKZ earned the rating in the Midsize Luxury Car category and the MKX earned it in the Midsize Luxury SUV category.
According to the IIHS, to earn a TSP rating vehicles must earn the highest score of "good" in all five crashworthiness assessments. Additionally, they must offer an available forward crash prevention system that earns a score of "advanced" or "superior."
The MKZ and MKX both offer a suite of available safety and driver assistance features, including systems for pre-collision assist, lane-keeping assist, blind spot warnings, and an auto hold feature. If you would like to learn more about these vehicles and their advanced safety systems, we invite you to come visit Lincoln of Smithtown for a test drive, today. We'll be happy to show you around.
